Sebastian Ofner has won two indoor titles on the Challenger Tour this season, but his clay court season has been less encouraging with numerous early exits. His best result was a semi-final appearance in Alicante back at the end of March, but he lost in round two of Madrid and Rome. He enjoyed his best ever run at a Masters event in Rome, making it all the way to the last four for the first time, though he was uncompetitive in his semi-final match against Casper Ruud. Darderi has a title on clay this season after winning the Chile Open at the start of March, along with a final appearance in Buenos Aires a few weeks earlier.
