Scotland vs Japan prediction

Scotland made it three out of four major international tournaments qualified for by producing a dramatic 4-2 victory over Denmark with two late goals in November. That does mean they have won eight, drawn two and lost three of their last 13 matches.

Japan are a very strong side and could be viewed as ‘dark horses’ for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. They also finished 2025 extremely well, too, with a 3-2 victory over Brazil before comfortable wins against Ghana and Bolivia.

Japan are a good team with a very exciting group of players and it may not be a wake up call for the Scots but could be a well-timed defeat to indicate just how tough this summer will be.

Scotland vs Japan tip: Japan to win
