Sassuolo preview: Impressive Sassuolo

Having always been a team that should never have been relegated in Serie B in the first place, Sassuolo, who have stuck by Fabio Grosso, were always expected to push towards the middle-of-the-table this season.

They headed into the November international break with a very impressive 3-0 demolition of local rivals Atalanta in Bergamo, courtesy of a Domenico Berardi brace as well as a strike from Andrea Pinamonti.

Pisa preview: Improving and steady Pisa

Pisa, like a lot of promoted clubs in Italy, decided to make a managerial change and decided to appoint 2006 FIFA World Cup winning striker Alberto Gilardino, who has done a reasonable job with Pisa improving as the season has gone on.

Good performances suggested a victory was only around the corner and that came for the Tuscans last time out as they defeated fellow impressive newly-promoted side Cremonese by a goal to nil, courtesy of Isaak Toure, at Arena Garibaldi.

Sassuolo team news: Nothing fresh

There are no fresh injury concerns or suspension issues for Sassuolo to deal with thos weekend but they still have a few issues, with both Edoardo Pieragnolo and Laurs Skjellerup sidelined.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Muric; Walukiewicz, Muharemovic, Idzes, Cande; Thorstvedt, Matic, Kone; Berardi, Pinamonti, Lauriente

Unavailable: Pieragnolo (Injured), Skjellerup (Injured)

Questionable: Volpato (Injured), Romagna (Injured), Boloca (Injured)

Pisa team news: Several issues

Pisa are dealing with several fresh injury concerns for this one as Juan Cuadrado is a doubt due to a thigh injury, whilst Ebenezer Akinsanmiro is a confirmed absentee due to a shoulder issue.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Semper; Caracciolo, Canestrelli, Calabresi; Toure, Aebischer, Hohjolt, Lorran; Vural, Moreo; Nzola

Unavailable: Lusuardi (Injured), Akinsanmiro (Injured), Stengs (Injured)

Questionable: Tomas Esteves (Injured), Juan Cuadrado (Injured)

Sassuolo vs Pisa prediction

With the aforementioned Berardi and Pinamonti, as well as the likes of Armand Lauriente, Nemanja Matic and Kristian Thorstvedt, Sassuolo have the pedigree of a side that should be looking towards the top-half in Serie A. They face a Pisa side that have made themselves difficult to beat of late but the complacency could well set in having now earned themselves a victory and so siding with Sassuolo appears the way to go for this one.

Sassuolo vs Pisa tip: Double chance – Sassuolo to win or draw
