Belinda Bencic claimed her 13th win of 2026 with a solid triumph over Dayana Yastremska.
The Swiss overcame a mid-match hiccup to prevail 6-2 6-7 6-3.
The third seed will now face Sara Bejlek after the rising Czech starlet crushed Akasha Urhobo 6-1 6-1.
This will be their maiden meeting after Bejlek gave Bencic a walkover in Dubai recently.
The Swiss has been rock solid for much of the year but did suffer a shock less to a Czech youngster at the Australian Open and will be eager to avoid a similar fate here.
Bejlek is capable and we think she may provide a scare before Belinda comes good.
