THE PREDICTION
Edinburgh were overpowered by Munster in a 10-22 defeat at home on Saturday but they will be targeting a bounce-back performance against visiting Scarlets here. The hosts have two less wins than their Conference B counterparts but two games in-hand won could see them very close indeed in this disjointed Pro14 season and they won the reverse of this fixture 3-6 back in November last year. Scarlets have improved since the start of the season and beat Benetton handily last time out 41-17. In recent months their once strong away form has tailed off, though, and they have three defeats from their last five Pro14 games. Edinburgh’s home matches are usually tight affairs and they will be confident of holding off their opponents here to win a match that comes under 40 points.
