- Hull FC put in another dreadful performance against Castleford to make it three losses in a row and five from six in all competitions meaning they need the Tigers to lose at Wigan on Thursday to keep their play-off hopes alive.
- The Black and Whites could recall Jordan Lane and Brad Fash after they were dropped for the visit to Castleford last week with Lane coming back into the 19-man squad at the expense of the retiring Sika Manu who could have played his last game of rugby league.
- Andre Savelio also returns to the 19-man squad following a lengthy lay-off with a troublesome foot problem with Jack Logan making way which should mean Bureta Faraimo is reinstated on the wing after he was left out last week.

- St. Helens ended the regular season with a 100% record on home soil after defeating Huddersfield by a big margin last week and will now head to Hull as they look for league win number 26.
- Saints were much better with Lachlan Coote back in the side last week and with the play-offs looming, they should name another strong team for this game with just Matty Lees remaining on the sidelines with injury.
- Joseph Paulo has returned to the 19-man squad for this game with Danny Richardson the man to make way and he is likely to take the place of James Bentley in the 17 although Mark Percival could also make way after copping a head knock last week.
THE PREDICTION
St. Helens have scored 102 points against Hull FC in their two meetings so far this season and will fancy their chances of significantly adding to that number. Hull have lost their last three in poor circumstances and Saints are likely to show no mercy as they look to build some form ahead of the play-offs. Hull’s season has unravelled at an alarming rate and with just five home wins to their name all season, it is difficult to see how they can overcome the side at the top of the table.
