Roma vs Napoli prediction

After the appointment of Gian Piero Gasperini in the summer, Roma have been very impressive at the start of this season, albeit without the fluency of a typical Gasperini style of football. They rose to the top-of-the-table in Serie A last weekend with a comfortable 3-1 defeat of Cremonese in Lombardy last weekend.

Napoli, with Antonio Conte at the helm, have generally struggled in the UEFA Champions League and that has been detrimental to their domestic form, as is often the case with Conte-led sides. That said, the Neapolitans were impressive last week as they defeated Atalanta by three goals to one at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, while they also beat Qarabag in Europe midweek.

Roma will believe they can contain a Napoli side that lack a bit of fluency in the final third, and the fact that Napoli are struggling going forward would suggest this will be a low-scoring encounter.

Roma vs Napoli tip: Under 2.5 goals
