Following the appointment of Gian Piero Gasperini over the summer, Roma have re-emerged as a real force in Serie A. Their 3-1 defeat of Cremonese at the weekend means that they now sitting at the top-of-the-table domestically, having won nine of their opening 12 matches in the league.
They now face a Midtjylland that, despite being unconvincing in qualification for the UEFA Europa League, sit at the top of the 36-team table ahead of the second-half of the league phase. The Danish outfit most recently comfortably defeated Celtic by three goals to one in Scandinavia a few weeks ago.
Midtjylland will head to the Olimpico in better form in Europe and they will fancy themselves to at least score in Rome, but Roma have to remain as favourites.
