The prediction

Richmond and Essendon are the two teams tied on four points down at the bottom of the AFL ladder with just one victory and nine defeats apiece in their ten matches.

Richmond come into this one on the back of a 36-point loss to St Kilda in their most recent outing, with Adam Yze at the helm having overseen eight victories and 48 defeats since joining the club in 2024, take on an Essendon side that most recently succumbed to a 43-point loss to Fremantle. These are two really poor sides and it is a tough one to call here.

With the backing of either side a bit risky, given their standard, backing a fairly low-scoring clash at the Melbourne Crickey Ground is the way to go for this one.
