Real Sociedad vs Villarreal prediction

Following the departure of Imanol Alguacil to Al Shabab over the summer, Real Sociedad have been much-improved in recent weeks, after what was a very slow start to the campaign. La Real returned from the break with an impressive 3-1 defeat of Osasuna at El Sadar.

They now face a Villarreal side that, despite the distractions of the UEFA Champions League, have emerged as genuine title contenders in La Liga, especially with Real Madrid faltering at the top-of-the-table. The Yellow Submarine most recently defeated Real Mallorca by two goals to one at El Madrigal.

Villarreal head north with a lot of quality and depth and so they will fancy themselves to be a threat, even if they rotate, but the hosts’ form should make it a fun watch.

Real Sociedad vs Villarreal tip: Both teams to score
