Real Madrid preview: The era of Xabi at the Bernabeu
Real Madrid have been forced into a new era this summer after an extremely underwhelming campaign, by Madrid standards, last season, which saw the departure of Carlo Ancelotti, who has now been appointed as Brazil boss.
Los Blancos have added several new signings, most notably in defence, with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alvaro Carreras and Dean Huijsen moving to the Bernabeu after the appointment of Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso.
Osasuna preview: New era for Osasuna
For a second successive summer, Osasuna have had to make another managerial change this summer, with the Pamplona-based outfit having to have replaced Vicente Moreno with former Huesca and Mirandes coach Alessio Lisci.
Lisci had done an extremely impressive job at Mirandes, taking them to the playoff final, but the Italian has departed for El Sadar, with a limited squad that has lost the likes of Bryan Zaragoza, Pablo Ibanez and Jesus Areso this summer.

Real Madrid vs Osasuna prediction
Real Madrid put in some excellent performances at the FIFA Club World Cup, mixed in with some games in which they majorly lacked cohesion and could still be got at and blown away. As they adjust to the more possession-based style of Xabi Alonso, they are expected to be susceptible on the counter-attack, and Osasuna have some good technical players moving forward, but they are still expected to get off to a winning start.
