Deportivo La Coruna preview: Defeated Depor

Deportivo La Coruna come into this one on the back of an entertaining 3-2 defeat to Real Sociedad at the Reale Arena in a game in which they were 3-0 down before threating a remarkable comeback via goals from Mario Soriano and Yeremay Hernandez.

Following their promotion back to La Liga, Depor embarked upon a busy summer transfer window and they have been strong at the start of this season with two victories and four draws in their seven games before that loss in the Basque Country.

Levante preview: Entertaining Levante

Luis Castro led Levante to safety as one of the best teams in La Liga in the second half of last season and while results haven’t been as good this time around but they have remained entertaining to watch.

On Monday, they found themselves 2-0 down at home to Sevilla but fought back to 2-2 with a stunner from Adrian De la Fuente in stoppage-time before Isaac Romeros scored his own screamer to re-establish Sevilla’s lead, with him sent off in the aftermath for his celebrations – allowing Levante to pile the pressure on and snatch a second extremely late equaliser at Estadio Ciutat de Valencia.

Deportivo La Coruna team news: Amatucci suspended

Lorenzo Amatucci was sent off late on against La Real and so he is missing through suspension for this one with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang working his way back from knee surgery over the international break.

Predicted XI (4-4-2): Leo Roman; Ximi Navarro, Jose Maria Gimenez, Ede, Quagliata; David Mella, Mario Soriano, Diego Villares, Luismi Cruz; Yeremay, Nsongo

Levante team news: Potential returnees

On-loan midfielder Hugo Sotelo and former Villarreal striker Karl Etta Eyong are working their way back to full fitness, with back-up goalkeeper Alex Primo remaining a confirmed absentee.

Predicted XI (4-4-2): Ryan; Toljan, Dela, Ndukwe, Manu Sanchez; Brugui, Oriol Rey, Jon Olasagasti, Fernandez; Musuayi, Ivan Romero

Unavailable: Alex Primo (Injured)

Questionable: Hugo Sotelo (Fitness), Eyong (Injured)

Deportivo La Coruna vs Levante prediction

Deportivo will again seek to get themselves on the front foot with their home advantage at Riazor and their strong start to the campaign encouraging them to do so. They now come up against a Levante side that have seen their seven matches thus far consist of 26 goals and so an entertaining watch for the neutral seems another decent bet for this one in the North West of Spain.
