Le Mans preview: Competitive Le Mans

Following their promotion to the top-flight last season, Le Mans have been competitive at the start of this season, albeit the hosts have managed just one victory in their opening six matches of the Ligue 1 campaign.

The home team come into this one on the back of a 3-1 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes in a game in which they were level at the hour mark before Luis Enrique rung the changes and got the Parisians a victory.

Toulouse preview: Struggles at the start

After the departure of Carlos Martinez Novell to Bayer Leverkusen, Toulouse poached Jens Bjerthel Askou from Motherwell. He endured a tough start to the campaign but they have begun to steady themselves as the season has gone on.

Toulouse went to Stade Louis II and fought back from 2-0 down at half-time in the principality to share a 2-2 draw, courtesy of second half goals scored by Casper Tengstedt and Sion Oppong.

Le Mans team news: Bourabaa out

Key man last year and at the start of this season, attacking midfielder Adil Bourabaa has now suffered an ankle injury and he is sidelined for the foreseeable for the hosts.

Predicted XI (3-1-4-2): Kocik; Boisse, Yohou, Voyer; Lauray; Bamba, Bretelle, Vercruysse, Calodat; Diallo, Mafouta

Unavailable: Bourabaa (Injured)

Questionable: Colas (Fitness)

Toulouse team news: Nothing fresh

Toulouse have no fresh injury concerns or suspension issues for this one as versatile defender Rasmus Nicolaisen works his way back to full fitness from a calf issue.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Restes; Messali, Koumbassa, McKenzie, Tape; Cristian Casseres Jr, Vossah; Tengstedt, Jorgensen, Azizi; Russell-Rowe

Unavailable:

Questionable: Nicolaisen (Fitness)

Le Mans vs Toulouse prediction

Le Mans come into this one on the back of a good performance against PSG and, frustratingly for them, another good performance that resulted in a defeat. They will again be awkward opponents for a Toulouse side that have shown fight and improvement either side of the international break and so both teams scoring may well be a decent bet for this one.

Le Mans vs Toulouse tip: Both teams to score
