Rayo Vallecano preview: Rayo in Europe

Rayo Vallecano come into this one on the back of an impressive 3-1 defeat of Samsunspor in the first-leg of their UEFA Europa Conference League round of 16 tie the other day with a brace from Alemao as well as an Alvaro Garcia strike.

Rayo, coached by the impressive Inigo Perez, have pushed themselves into the middle-of-the-table in La Liga and they are now unbeaten in their last six matches across all competitions.

Levante preview: Levante on the push

Levante, now with former Nantes boss Luis Castro at the helm, are fighting against relegation in Spain’s top-flight with the Valencians showing a bit of fight, despite remaining in the bottom three and the relegation places.

After a 2-0 defeat of Deportivo Alaves at Estadio Ciutat de Valencia in late-February, Levante most recently shared a 1-1 draw with Girona last week, conceding a last gasp Joel Roca equaliser.

Rayo Vallecano vs Levante prediction

Levante have been very impressive at times this season. Under both Julian Calero and former Dunkerque boss Luis Castro, they have been playing front foot and proactive football. They now face a Rayo side that play in exactly the same way, albeit with a lack of consistency in the final third, leading to a lot of silly dropped points. This should be quite a fun watch for the neutral in which both teams scoring seems a good bet.
