Quentin Halys vs Holger Rune prediction
Quentin Halys broke new ground at his home slam as he made it through to the third-round for the first time with a victory over Miomir Kecmanovic. The Frenchman lost the first set but came back to win 4-6 6-3 7-5 7-6. Halys was barely in any form heading into this tournament and has largely had a disappointing clay court season but he now stands just one match away from making the fourth-round of a Grand Slam for the first time.
He will have to step his level up though as he takes on Barcelona Open champion Holger Rune in round three. The Dane, who has already reached the quarter-finals here on two occasions, beat Emilio Nava 6-3 7-6 6-3. It was an improved performance from Rune in comparison to his first-round match, as he struck the ball well and was patient during the longer rallies.
Though Halys has done well to get to this point, Rune seems to be hitting his stride and should make it through comfortably.
