Preston vs Plymouth prediction

Coached by former Sheffield United boss Paul Heckingbottom, Preston North End appeared to be firmly in the middle-of-the-table a couple of months ago but the Lancastrians are now just three points above the danger zone after their 2-1 defeat away at Hull City at the weekend extended their winless run of form to seven matches across all competitions.

They now face a Plymouth Argyle side that, under the management of former Cercle Brugge boss Miron Muslic, have been much-improved since the departure of Wayne Rooney and the Pilgrims have given themselves a chance of survival and that continued with a 3-1 defeat of playoff contenders Coventry City at Home Park on Easter Monday.

Preston simply have to win at Deepdale this weekend but Plymouth will travel north with a confidence and exuberance so both teams scoring may well be a good bet for this crucial clash.
