Polina Kudermetova vs Maddison Inglis prediction
Polina Kudermetova’ three month winless run ended in the first-round of Tennis in the Land last month. She also notched up another victory in the first-round of the US Open due to Nuria Parrizas-Diaz’s retirement. She performed well against world number one Aryna Sabalenka in the next round, taking the Belarussian to a tiebreak in the first set before going on to lose 7-6 6-2. She has competed in one event since, in Guadalajara, but lost in round one to Mariana Stakusic despite taking the first set.
Maddison Inglis enters the main draw as a qualifier after beating Veronika Erjavec and Rebecca Sramkova. Her win over the higher ranked Sramkova was particularly impressive as she came from a set down to win. She is ranked 158 in the world.
Inglis is yet to win a match on the WTA Tour this season, but she has the momentum with her to defeat Kudermetova, who has really struggled to make an impact over the past six months.
