Parma have taken a gamble on this season but they may well be regretting that as they welcome a middle-of-the-table Udinese side to the Ennio Tardini this weekend.

Parma vs Udinese prediction

Following the appointment of Mikel Arteta’s former assistant coach Carlos Cuesta over the summer, Parma have underwhelmed at the start of this season as they sit firmly in the bottom-half. They did, though, manage to edge past fellow strugglers Hellas Verona by two goals to one at the Marcantonio Bentegodi last weekend.

They now face an Udinese side that begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting firmly in the middle-of-the-table but the Friulians have endured three defeats in their last four matches in Serie A. Udinese most recently returned from the November international break with a 3-0 hammering at the hands of Bologna.

Udinese, for a third successive season, have started well but are drifting once again and siding with Parma, especially with their home advantage, may well be the way to go.

Parma vs Udinese tip: Double chance – Parma to win or draw
