Paris Saint-Germain preview: Not so perfect Parisians

Luis Enrique’s defending treble winners sit at the top-of-the-table in Ligue 1 despite unconvincing performances and inconsistent results over the last couple of months, but they have earned some dramatic victories of late.

After scoring a last-gasp winner against Nice at the Parc des Princes in a 1-0 win, they then performed the same trick to defeat Olympique Lyonnais a couple of weeks ago, courtesy of a 95th minute header scored by Joao Neves.

Le Havre preview: Battling Le Havre

Coached by former Middlesbrough midfielder Didier Digard, Le Havre have been battling throughout the campaign as they try and push into the middle-of-the-table with a reasonably entertaining style of football.

They are currently on a four-match unbeaten run of form after sharing a 1-1 draw with Nantes a couple of weeks ago at Stade Oceane, with Gauthier Lloris, the brother of Hugo, scoring a 95th minute equaliser in that clash.

Paris Saint-Germain team news: Key absentees

PSG have a quartet of confirmed absentees for this one as full-backs Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes are sidelined alongside France international duo Desire Doue and Ousmane Dembele.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Chevalier; Zaire-Emery, Zabarnyi, Willian Pacho, Hernandez; Neves, Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz; Lee, Ramos, Kvaratskhelia

Unavailable: Hakimi (Injured), Mendes (Injured), Doue (Injured), Dembele (Injured)

Le Havre team news: Samatta still a doubt

Former Aston Villa striker Mbwana Samatta remains a doubt due to a thigh issue for Le Havre, but they have no other fresh injury concerns or suspension issues for this one.

Predicted XI (4-1-2-1-2): Diaw; Nego, Sangante, Lloris, Zouaoui; Seko; Toure, Kechta; Ndiaye; Mambimbi, Soumare

Unavailable:

Questionable: Samatta (Injured)

Paris Saint-Germain vs Le Havre prediction

Paris Saint-Germain have lacked fluency throughout the campaign. However, the Parisians have so much quality and a completely new mentality from the last 12 months that is allowing them to grind out results. Le Havre have been able to keep themselves in Ligue 1 with a more front foot and attacking style than expected but PSG should be more than confident of dismantling that in the capital city this weekend.

Paris Saint-Germain vs Le Havre tip: Paris Saint-Germain to win & over 2.5 goals
