Palmeiras vs LDU Quito prediction

Abel Ferreira and his Palmeiras side come into this one on the back of a goalless draw away from home against Botafogo as they sit second in the Brazilian Serie A table in behind Flamengo. Palmeiras overcame Cerro Porteno by two goals to one on aggregate in the round of 16 last month.

LDU Quito eased to a comfortable 3-1 defeat of Tecnico Universitario in the Ecuadorean LigaPro at the weekend but they remain fifth in the table with ten defeats in 29 league games. In this competition, they edged past Mirassol on penalties after a 1-1 draw across the two legs.

LDU Quito will attempt to be awkward to play against once again but Palmeiras should get themselves over the line in this first-leg at the Allianz Parque in Sao Paulo.

Palmeiras vs LDU Quito tip: Palmeiras to win & under 3.5 goals
