Osasuna and Girona begin the weekend sitting level on points and very much in the hunt for potential UEFA competition qualification this season.

Osasuna preview: Lisci's Osasuna

After a tough start to the campaign, former Mirandes boss Alessio Lisci has been able to really evolve his style of football to make Osasuna one of the more entertaining teams to watch for the neutral.

The hosts head into this one in some shaky form, though, with their 3-1 loss away at Real Sociedad last week meaning that they have now won just one of their last five matches in La Liga.

Girona preview: Michel's Girona

Girona endured an even poorer start to the campaign with in-fighting, manager Michel's open frustration with both the hierarchy and his players - but things have certainly turned around in recent months.

The Catalans hammered Athletic Club by three goals to nil at Montilivi last weekend, courtesy of goals from Hugo Rincon, Azzedine Ounahi and Manchester City loanee Claudio Echeverri.

Osasuna team news: Raul Moro a doubt

Raul Moro has shown flashes of quality since joining from Ajax but he is now a doubt due to injury, while Iker Benito is a confirmed absentee due to a knee issue.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Sergio Herrera; Rosier, Boyomo, Alejandro Catena, Javi Galan; Jon Moncayola, Lucas Torro; Kike Barja, Aimar Oroz, Victor Munoz; Budimir

Unavailable: Iker Benito (Injured)

Questionable: Raul Moro (Injured)

Girona team news: Couple of doubts

Experienced midfielder Thomas Lemar is a doubt for Girona this weekend, alongside club legend and experienced Uruguay international attacker Cristhian Stuani.

Predicted XI (4-5-1): Paulo Gazzaniga; Hugo Rincon, Alejandro Frances, Blind, Arnau Martinez; Tsygankov, Beltran, Witsel, Ounahi, Joel Roca; Vanat

Unavailable: Juan Carlos (Injured), Ter Stegen (Injured), Ricard Artero (Injured), Van de Beek (Injured), Bryan Gil (Injrued), Portu (Injured)

Questionable: Lemar (Injured), Cristhian Stuani (Injured)

Osasuna vs Girona prediction

Eighth is expected to be enough for European football in Spain this season and so both sides are very much in the hunt. Osasuna have become a fun watch, while Girona have often been the real entertainers under Michel. With that, as well as both sides needing a win to keep their European dreams very much alive, both teams scoring seems likely at El Sadar in Pamplona.

Osasuna vs Girona tip: Both teams to score
