Oman drawing against Morocco in the second round of group games keeps them in the hunt for knockout qualification, but now it’s three points they need to have any hope of overhauling the Atlas Lions in second-place. Comoros have lost both of their group stage fixtures by three goals to one and are officially eliminated from knockout contention.
For Oman, only do they need to win this game, they need to win it well knowing that goal difference is their only way to get above Morocco should they be beaten by Saudi Arabia. There’s no doubt that Oman is good enough to pick up the result they need against what is a poor Comoros side and backing Oman to win by at least two clear goals has to be favoured.
