Nikoloz Basilashvili has found some form at just the right time heading into the second Grand Slam of the year. He reached the final of the Bordeaux Challenger last week and then took that momentum with him into the qualifiers for Roland Garros, beating Gijs Brouwer, Valentin Vacherot and Geoffrey Blancaneaux. The Georgian has seven wins from his last eight matches overall.
Henrique Rocha is another player to have qualified and competes in the main draw of a Grand Slam for the first time in his career. The 21-year-old from Portugal competes almost exclusively on the Challenger Tour but has struggled for form this season, with his best finish being the semi-final of the Tenerife Open at the beginning of February.
The experienced Basilashvili is seemingly heading into the right direction and we expect him to pull off another victory here and reach the second-round for the first time since 2022.
