Nice preview: Neglected Nice

The neglect of Nice by ownership group INEOS has the southerners sitting just fourth from bottom ahead of this weekend's round of fixtures, albeit with an eight-point lead over the relegation playoff places in Ligue 1.

The southerners did manage to end their six-match winless run of form in Ligue 1 last week, easing to a 2-0 victory at Stade Raymond Kopa against Angers with goals from defender Malvin Bard and striker Elye Wahi.

Paris Saint-Germain preview: Peaking PSG

Paris Saint-Germain hammered Chelsea by three goals to nil at Stamford Bridge in midweek, completing an 8-2 aggregate victory as they continued the defence of their UEFA Champions League title.

Despite not playing last week, PSG managed to stay at the top-of-the-table with Lens stumbling against Lorient but the French champions are just one point clear at the top, albeit with a game in hand.

Nice team news: A few doubts

Nice have a few injury doubts for this weekend as defensive duo Mohamed Abdelmonem and Kojo Peprah Oppong, alongside versatile attacker Mohamed-Ali Cho.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Diouf; Clauss, Juma Bah, Dante; Mendy, Boudaoui, Sanson, Vanhoutte, Bard; Boudache, Kevin Carlos

Unavailable: Moise Bombito (Injured), Everton (Injured), Jansson (Injured)

Questionable: Abdelmonem (Injured), Peprah Oppong (Injured), Cho (Injured)

Paris Saint-Germain team news: Hakimi suspended

Morocco international full-back Achraf Hakimi is missing through suspension, while key man Bradley Barcola is also injured with Joao Neves a doubt for this weekend.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Safonov; Zaire-Emery, Zabarnyi, Willian Pacho, Mendes; Lee, Vitinha, Dro; Doue, Dembele, Kvaratskhelia

Unavailable: Hakimi (Suspended), Fabian Ruiz (Injured), Ndjantou (Injured), Barcola (Injured)

Questionable: Neves (Injured)

Nice vs Paris Saint-Germain prediction

Treble winners PSG are in danger of no silverware this term but there is also a feeling that, just at a similar time as last season, they are peaking once again at the exact right time under Luis Enrique. Nice got a confidence boosting victory last week but will likely be no match for the visitors, even if PSG do rotate quite heavily, as is to be expected.
