Key stats

  • This is the first UEFA competition match between Nice and Braga.
  • Nice’s only three UEFA meetings with Portuguese opposition have all come this season. They were beaten 3-0 at Porto on Matchday 5, having earlier fallen to Benfica in the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round — losing 2-0 at home in the first leg and by the same score in Lisbon in the return.
  • Nice are winless in their last 17 UEFA competition matches (D4 L13), a run stretching back to their 3-1 home victory over Sheriff Tiraspol in the UEFA Conference League round of 16 in March 2023. They have lost each of the last seven.
  • Braga are unbeaten in their last three UEFA matches against French teams with two wins and one draw.
  • Braga have lost only one of their last 12 UEFA competition matches (W9 D2).
  • Braga have lost only two of their last 13 matches in all competitions (W9 D2).

Nice vs Braga prediction

After five matches of the 2025/26 UEFA Europa League league phase, Nice sit rock-bottom with five defeats from five, scoring four and conceding 12 in that time. Things had been good at the start of this season but a 1-0 loss at home to Angers at the weekend has extended their losing streak to seven matches across all competitions.

They now face a Sporting Braga side that, under the management of Carlos Vicens, managed to edge past Famalicao by two goals to one at the weekend to make it five matches without a defeat. In the UEL, the Portuguese outfit have started with three victories and a draw in their opening five matches.

Braga will head to the Allianz Riviera expecting to inflict further damage on a Nice side that are beginning to appear as directionless on the pitch as they are off it.
