Macarthur couldn’t have asked for a better way to start the new A-League season, getting the better of Perth Glory 2-1. With that victory under their belts, they now head to Newcastle Jets, who played out a thrilling 2-2 draw away at Central Coast Mariners. While the Jets looked extremely good going forward, it was a different story at the back, and this is something Macarthur will look to exploit.
Having watched these two sides in the opening round of fixtures, it’s clear that attack will be the biggest strength of both teams this campaign, at least initially.
