Ajax vs Atalanta prediction

Ajax may have only lost once in nine Eredivisie fixtures, but their first Conference League match ended with them being shocked by Hajduk Split, losing 2-1 in Croatia. Expect a big reaction from Michel’s men, although they won’t have it all their own way against Atalanta, who have been used to playing Champions League football in the last couple of years.

However, La Dea are suffering through a slump on the road, losing their last three away fixtures. Coming off the back of a gruelling test and ultimately a defeat against AC Milan on Sunday, Atalanta’s players may well tire the longer this match goes on with Ajax likely to put the Italian backline under heavy pressure. Therefore, the shrewd move would be to back a home victory.
