Namibia are still competing for qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, as they take on a very poor and pointless Sao Tome e Principe side during this midweek.

Key Stats

  • The only previous match between these teams was Namibia’s 2-0 victory in their World Cup qualifying encounter in November 2023.
  • São Tomé and Príncipe have lost their last ten World Cup qualifying matches. Since a 1-0 victory against Ethiopia in October 2015.

Namibia vs Sao Tome e Principe Prediction

With three games of CAF qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the Namibians have collected 12 points thus far and they sit as runners’ up in Group H as they seek a playoff berth. They most recently, though, suffered a 2-1 defeat to Malawi at the Francistown Stadium the other day.

In their seven qualifiers thus far, Sao Tome e Principe have been woeful with seven defeats from seven and 17 goals conceded with four goals scored. They come into this one on the back of a 3-2 loss against Equatorial Guinea in Morocco the other day in a game in which Sao Tome e Principe were 2-0 up at half-time.

This match is again being played at the neutral venue of Francistown in Botswana, but Namibia should still be expected to win quite comfortably against a poor side.

Namibia vs Sao Tome e Principe Tip: Namibia to win -1 handicap
