SAM PATTERSON VS YANAL ASHMOZ LOWDOWN

Sam Patterson (10-1-1) makes his anticipated UFC debut on home soil coming off three finishes. He capped off 2021 with a submission over Kamil Magomedov and TKO’d Khunhar-Pasha Osmaev both under the Brave CF banner. That led to an opportunity on the Contender Series which he seized with another second-round submission which was over Vinicius Sacchelli Cenci back in September.

Yanal Ashmoz (6-0) also heads to London to make his UFC debut. He has fought for a variety of promotions creating a lot of excitement along the way. He took some time off between 2017 and 2021, but it was like he never left when he knocked out Armando Gjetji. He followed that up with another knockout in 2021, this time over Ryan Rizco. He returned five months later for the PFL and extended his unbeaten run with a unanimous decision over Dennis Hughes Jr.

SAM PATTERSON VS YANAL ASHMOZ PREDICTION

Ashmoz has not fought for a year and has a tough fight in enemy territory. The Watford boy is an exciting prospect and is a huge lightweight. He will boast a significant nine inches in reach and six in height.

Both fighters have shown a vulnerability to getting taken down so they will be grateful they have been paired up to slug it out. They are both very dangerous strikers. The Israeli throws wild bombs and packs a lot of power so Patterson needs to keep his defence sharp.

If he takes Ashmoz lightly and does not keep his hands up, he can easily get clipped. However, considering his skill and size advantage, he should be able to pick Ashmoz apart at will and snipe from range.

Patterson is also a cardio machine so on paper, should take this all day and with home advantage, we expect one of his best performances.
