Fabian Marozsan vs Felix Auger-Aliassime prediction

Fabian Marozsan cruised through to the second-round in Toronto after beating Hugo Dellien 6-2 6-2. The Hungarian did not even face a break point, winning an imposing 33 out of his 41 service points overall. Dellien had not competed in a hard court event since January and was thoroughly uncompetitive against Marozsan.

He will face a much tougher test in the shape of Felix Auger-Aliassime in the next round. The Canadian will be playing in his first tournament since his disappointing second-round defeat to Jan-Lennard Struff, despite the former world number six taking the first set. Auger-Aliassime had got to the quarter-finals of two grass court tournaments in the buildup but his poor recent record at SW19 continued.

Auger-Aliassime will hope to recapture some of his hard court success from earlier in the year, which saw him lift titles in Adelaide and Montpellier and reach a final in Dubai. He struggles with inconsistency at times, but he will desperate for a strong showing in front of his home fans and it’s likely to start against Marozsan.
