Travel Distances 2025-26 – National League North

Here at TSZ we have put together a list of all the travel distances for the 2025-26 National League North season.

The distances have been determined by using the shortest route by road on Google Maps at the time of writing. The mileage shown is for the round-trip from a team's home stadium to the opponent's home stadium, and back again, for all away games in the league campaign. This is strictly a 'by road' analysis, other means of transport (e.g. train) are not considered.

Total distances

  • After their promotion from the Southern Premier League South, Merthyr Town unsurprisingly have the furthest to travel given their South Wales location.
  • Local Buxton fans who travel to every away league game will have less than half that distance to cover in the 2025-26 season.

What is the longest away trip in the National League North?

  • The 313-mile distance between Merthyr and Tyne and Wear outfit South Shields is the longest in the division, with the round trip coming in at 626 miles!
  • Indeed, a trip to either Merthyr or South Shields will represent the longest trip for 19 of their National League North opponents.

What is the shortest away trip in the National League North?

  • The 26-mille round trip between Buxton and Macclesfield will be the shortest journey in the 2025-26 National League North campaign.
  • No such luck for local Scarborough supporters though, as even their shortest round trip (Worksop) totals 158 miles.
