Coming off of a decision victory over Natan Levy, Rafa Garcia (13-2) has had a tough start to his UFC career. Losing in his first two fights against Nasrat Haqparast and Chris Gruetzemacher, the win over Levy was his first in the promotion. Therefore, the Mexican native will be itching to pick up his second win in the UFC this weekend.
Returning for the first time in nearly two years, Jesse Ronson (21-10-1) will be looking to pick up his first-ever win in the UFC. The Canadian originally fought in the promotion between 2013 and 2014 but went 0-3. After impressing across the regional scene, Ronson would fight Nicolas Dalby on his return. However, the fight would go down as a no-contest due to Ronson testing positive for metandienone.

Heading into this weekend’s welterweight showdown, Ronson will have an advantage in both height and reach. This is an intriguing matchup on paper. For Ronson, he will have the edge in terms of striking. Therefore, the Canadian will look to keep the fight standing and exploit Garcia’s questionable cardio. However, we suspect that Garcia will look to utilise his wrestling from the get-go and control top position and potentially get the decision victory. One thing that’s evident is Ronson tends to struggle against wrestlers.
