MICKEY GALL VS MIKE MALOTT LOWDOWN
The last few years have been very stop-start for Mickey Gall (7-4). After impressing in the early days of his professional MMA career, Gall has struggled since his defeat to Randy Brown back in 2017. Currently 2-3 in his last five outings, Mickey is coming off of a decision defeat to Alex Morono back in December of 2021.
As for Mike Malott (7-1-1), the Canadian native will be making his promotional debut this weekend at UFC 273. Malott earned himself a chance to compete in MMA’s biggest promotion following a submission win over Shimon Smotritsky on Dana White’s Contender Series back in October of 2021.

Heading into this weekend’s welterweight showdown, Gall will have the edge in both the height and reach department.
So far, Malott has looked great every time he’s stepped foot inside the cage. The Canadian is always chasing the finish from the off. With that being said, it’s now time for Mike to start fighting a lot more.
If Gall stands a chance, he’ll have to use his wrestling ability to his advantage. However, we suspect that Malott’s sharp hands will look to control the stand-up battle. Mike’s grappling and takedown defence could pay dividends against Gall.
