Fighting out of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Mayra Bueno Silva (8-2-1) will be looking to make it back-to-back wins for the first time since 2018 with a win this weekend. The Brazilian is coming off a decision win against Yanan Wu back in April. Currently 2-2-1 in her last five fights, Mayra will be looking to establish some consistency in her game as soon as possible.
As for Silva’s opponent this weekend, Stephanie Egger (7-2), she is currently 4-1 in her last five outings. Fighting out of St Gallen, Switzerland, Egger is coming off of a submission win against Jessica-Rose Clark back in February of this year. Looking to make it three wins in a row, Egger understands that she has a tough test on her hands.

Heading into this weekend’s flyweight bout, both fighters will share the same height. However, Egger will have a slight edge in the reach department.
On paper, this fight is certainly an intriguing one. Both fighters are well-equipped to exploit the other’s flaws. On the feet, Silva is an absolute menace and will look to put it on her opponent from the get-go. With that being said, Silva can be easily taken down. If she gets taken down against Egger, then the Swiss will look to sneak in a submission finish. We suspect that Silva will look to pile the pressure from the off and look to do a lot of damage in the clinch. If Silva can dictate the fight and keep it at range, she should do enough to win the fight. On the other hand, if Egger can maintain top control, it will certainly be an interesting fight.
