GABE GREEN VS YOHAN LAINESSE LOWDOWN

Returning for the first in over a year, Gabe Green (10-3) will be looking to pick up his second win inside the promotion. After an unsuccessful debut against Daniel Rodriguez, Green is coming off of a decision victory over Phillip Rowe. Therefore, this weekend is a chance for Green to establish some form of momentum as he looks to climb the rankings.

As for Yohan Lainesse (8-0), he will be making his first walk to the UFC cage this weekend. Lainesse would earn a chance to compete in the UFC following a successful trial on the Dana White’s Contender Series. On that night, he defeated Justin Burlinson via a first-round TKO. This weekend, Yohan will be eager to put on a show in front of Dana White.

GABE GREEN VS YOHAN LAINESSE PREDICTION

Heading into this weekend’s welterweight showdown, Lainesse will have the advantage in both the height and reach department.

On paper, this has the potential to be a great fight. It’s fair to say that Lainesse is the more technical striker and will look to control proceedings from the get-go. As well as that, Lainesse also has great wrestling. The big downside is his cardio. If Green can weather the early storm, it could be a long night for Yohan.

For Green, he has to stay patient and chop away at Lainesse’s legs and stay on the front foot. With that being said, we suspect that Yohan will look to be the aggressor early and mix in some takedowns as well as some efficient combinations. and maybe look for an early finish.
