Looking to impress on his UFC debut, Dean Barry (4-1) is a huge favourite going into this weekend. All four of his professional wins have come via finish. There will no doubt be a lot of eyes on Barry as he looks to prove to the UFC why they opted to sign him. The Irishman is coming off of a knockout finish over Drew Lipton.
As for Mike Jackson (0-1), it’s nearly four years since MMA fans have last seen Jackson in action. Despite defeating CM Punk in his last outing, the bout went down as a no-contest after Jackson tested positive for marijuana. On his return to the cage, he’ll be looking to shock the world.

Going into this weekend’s welterweight matchup, Jackson will have the advantage in the height department. That’s probably as good as it gets for Mike. We suspect that it will be a tough day at the office for Jackson. The main weakness of Barry’s game is his lack of skill on the mat. With that being said, Jackson isn’t the man who is capable of getting the fight to the floor and chasing the submission. Therefore, we predict that Barry will look to dictate the pace from the off with his efficient striking and chase the early knockout.
