Mirra Andreeva vs Marta Kostyuk prediction
Mirra Andreeva made it through to her third final of 2026 as she beat Hailey Baptiste in straight sets. Baptiste had beaten world number one Aryna Sabalenka in the previous round and threatened a comeback in the second set, as she saved two match points and then broke Andreeva when she was serving for the match. Baptiste had two set points in the tiebreak, but Andreeva saved them both and completed a 6-4 7-6 (8) win.
She will face Marta Kostyuk as she progressed to her second straight final after a three set win over Anastasia Potapova. Kostyuk dropped her first set of the tournament but dominated the third to win 6-2 1-6 6-1 after one hour and 36 minutes. Potapova was hoping to become the first ever lucky loser to make the final of a WTA 1000 event, but she came up short.
They played each other for the first time in Brisbane earlier this year, with Kostyuk winning in straight sets. The Ukrainian remains unbeaten on clay this season, and she is just one win away from the biggest title of her career so far. However, Andreeva has fought her way through to the draw, and those battling qualities could give her the edge.
