Mirra Andreeva will have her eyes set on her second title of the year when she takes on former champion Anastasia Potapova in Linz.
The Russian top seed claimed a dominant 6-4 6-1 win over Elena-Gabriela Ruse and will be the clear favourite against home hope Potapova.
The Austrian world number 97, who lifted the title here in 2023, was in solid form as she disposed of Donna Vekic by a 6-4 6-2 scoreline.
This will be a fourth meeting between the pair and a first on clay.
Andreeva leads 2-1 and has won the last two in straight sets, including a 6-1 6-3 triumph at last year’s US Open.
