Miomir Kecmanovic vs Sebastian Baez prediction
Miomir Kecmanovic has been in poor form over the past two months or so. His only real highlight was making the quarter-finals of a Challenger event in Estoril but he is on a three-match losing streak since then as he lost in the earliest possible stages of Rome and Geneva. Nevertheless, the Serbian has picked up a title this season, winning the Delray Beach Open.
Sebastian Baez picked up a title in February on clay in Rio and reached another final a week later in Santiago but lost to Laslo Djere. He seemed to pick up where he left off on the European clay with another final appearance in Bucharest, but he has won just one match in his next six events. Baez is currently on a five match winless run and will be desperate to get back to winning ways in round one.
This will be their first match on clay but Kecmanovic leads the head-to-head 2-0 with wins in 2024. Neither player is in good form at all and we can’t see either player taking the initiative early on. We see this going four sets or more.
