Middlesbrough vs Coventry prediction

Middlesbrough have been left frustrated by the departure of Rob Edwards to Wolverhampton Wanderers. His replacement is expected to be Kim Hellberg but the deal is not yet done, with the Smoggies most recently sharing a 1-1 draw with struggling Oxford United to make it just one win in their last five matches in the league.

They now face a Coventry City side that extended their lead at the top-of-the-table at the weekend by coming from 2-0 down to beat midlands rivals West Bromwich Albion by three goals to two. That made it four wins on the bounce for a Coventry side that have gone at over 2.3 points per game with over 2.6 goals scored per game.

Frank Lampard’s Coventry may indeed regress at some stage but, even a slight regression will likely see them remain title challengers and they have to be viewed as unlikely to lose at the Riverside.

Middlesbrough vs Coventry tip: Double chance – Coventry to win or draw
