The prediction
Melbourne come into this one on the back of a 76-point hammering of Port Adelaide in their most recent outing, last week. That means that the Victorians have now enjoyed four successive victories ahead of the final round as they sit fifth in the AFL ladder.
Last week, the Western Bulldogs played out a thrilling tie with in-form Carlton. The Bulldogs sit tucked inside the top ten and the play-off places but are now winless in three matches with that tie coming after hammerings at the hands of Fremantle and North Melbourne.
The Western Bulldogs will take heart from their improved performance against Carlton but Melbourne have to remain favourites here at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
