Marta Kostyuk vs Caty McNally prediction
Marta Kostyuk remains unbeaten on clay this season as she produced a brilliant performance to get past world number five Jessica Pegula. The Ukrainian, who defeated Pegula earlier this year in Brisbane on her way to the final, made a fast start and maintained her level to win 6-1 6-4. She was also clutch when it came to saving break points, with Pegula only able to convert one out of 11 overall. Kostyuk won her second tour-level title at the Open de Rouen just over a week ago
Caty McNally is her next opponent. The American saved a match point en route to winning a thriller against Katerina Siniakova after two hours and 46 minutes. Siniakova served for the match at 5-4 in the decider, but McNally broke back and controlled the tiebreak to win 6-3 2-6 7-6 (2). She impressively defeated Victoria Mboko in the previous round.
These two only just played each other in Rouen, with Kostyuk coming from a set down to win in three. She is one match away from a second successive appearance in the quarter-finals of this event, and she will be a commanding favourite for this one.
Marta Kostyuk vs Caty McNally tip: Marta Kostyuk to win 2-0
