Marta Kostyuk vs Ann Li prediction
Marta Kostyuk continued her progress at the Open de Rouen but had to come from a set down to beat Caty McNally. The Ukrainian was not at her best at the start of the match and went behind, but she did not drop her serve in sets two or three as she won 2-6 6-2 6-1 after one hour and 54 minutes.
She now takes on Ann Li. The American is through to her first quarter-final of the campaign as she recovered from losing the first set to beat Kamilla Rakhimova. Li was a break up in the early stages, but quickly lost control of the match as Rakhimova went ahead. Despite continuing struggles on serve, Li would level the match and go on to control the third set to win 4-6 6-2 6-3.
Kostyuk leads the head-to-head 1-0 after a win in San Diego two years ago. The top seed is beginning to pick up more wins after her injury, and she is the favourite against Li.
