Mariano Navone vs Jenson Brooksby prediction

Mariano Navone was unable to win a third title of the year and a second on the ATP last time out, as he lost a three set thriller to Learner Tien in the final of the Geneva Open. Nevertheless, this has been a productive clay court campaign for the Argentine, who has moved up to 42 in the world and is now closing in on his best ever ranking. Navone advanced to the third-round of Roland Garros last year.

His first-round opponent is Jenson Brooksby. The American has struggled for results all season, with just four wins from 16 matches since the start of the year. Furthermore, he is yet to register a win on clay and is on a seven-match losing run. Brooksby’s last win occurred in the first-round of Indian Wells back in early March.

In terms of form and clay court pedigree, Navone will be viewed as an overwhelming favourite to get past Brooksby in round one.

Mariano Navone vs Jenson Brooksby tip: Under 33.5 games
