Mariano Navone vs Hamad Medjedovic prediction

Marian Navone registered his second win over Felix Auger-Aliassime as he produced a brilliant performance to win in straight sets. Navone was unable to serve out the first set but still took the lead after winning the tiebreak. Auger-Aliassime broke in the first game of the second and had two set points in the 10th game, but Navone went on to save them both and break his serve in the very next service game. The Argentine edged clear in another tiebreak to seal a 7-6 (4) 7-6 (5) win.

He now faces Hamad Medjedovic as he came from a set down to defeat Joao Fonseca. Medjedovic failed to serve out the match at 5-4 in the decider, spurning a match point, but he regrouped magnificently in front of a largely hostile crowd to dominate the tiebreak and win 3-6 6-3 7-6 (1).

These two faced each other for the first time at this year’s Australian Open, with Medjedovic winning in four sets. Navone is far more competitive on clay, and this is likely to be a closer encounter, with both coming off impressive wins in round two.
