Mariano Navone vs Federico Cina prediction
Mariano Navone has not had a particularly impressive European clay court season, with his best run being a quarter-final appearance at a Challenger event in Aix-en-Provence just last week. He won his first two matches relatively comfortably before succumbing to Borna Coric in straight sets.
The Argentine lost early on in Madrid, Munich and Monte-Carlo while he could only reach the second-round of the Bucharest Open in comparison to making the final there last season.
He will take on Federico Cina for a place in the second-round. The 18-year-old has competed in just two events on clay this season, losing in the first-round of a Challenger in Monza before a valiant second-round loss to Sebastian Korda in three sets at the Madrid Open after getting past Coleman Wong earlier on.
Navone has not had the clay court season he would have hoped, but we think he should have too much for the world number 323.
