There are a couple of matches that could define the futures of Premier League matches this weekend, and one of them comes at here as Manchester United face Chelsea.

Kick-off date/time:

Man Utd preview: Pressure on Amorim

There are suggestions that the hierarchy at Manchester United are becoming more and more impatient with manager Ruben Amorim, as the Red Devils suffered a 3-0 hammering at the hands of Manchester City in the derby last weekend.

Aside from their humiliation in the EFL Cup against Grimsby Town, as well as at home to Fulham in the FA Cup last year, and their UEFA Europa League final defeat to Tottenham Hotspur; he has now managed eight victories in 31 Premier League matches.

Chelsea preview: Maresca’s Blues

After finishing fifth and earning UEFA Champions League qualification, then winning the UEFA Europa Conference League and then winning the FIFA Club World Cup; things were looking up for Enzo Maresca and Chelsea, but it has been a tricky start.

They had a limited pre-season as a result of the FIFA Club World Cup and they have managed just two victories in their opening five matches across all competitions. They were beaten 3-1 by Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League in midweek.

Man Utd team news: Mount & Cunha back

Ahead of the visit of Chelsea, Manchester United have been handed a major double boost as both Matheus Cunha and Mason Mount are back in the squad to boost Amorim's attacking setup in the 3-4-2-1.

Diogo Dalot is still sidelined, though, for the Red Devils, whilst Lisandro Martinez is back running, but this weekend is way too early for a return for the Argentina international defender.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Bayindir; Yoro, De Ligt, Shaw; Mazraoui, Casemiro, Fernandes, Dorgu; Mbeumo, Cunha; Sesko

Unavailable: Martinez (Fitness), Dalot (Injured)

Questionable:

Chelsea team news: A few doubts

Enzo Maresca kept his cards close to his chest in his press conference, but the Italian did suggest that the Blues are dealing with some doubts, albeit Alejandro Garnacho is now ready to start.

They remain without centre-back Levi Colwill, midfielder Dario Essugo and striker Liam Delap, whilst Benoit Badiashile and Romeo Lavia have now returned to full training.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Sanchez; James, Adarabioyo, Chalobah, Cucurella; Fernandez, Caicedo; Neto, Palmer, Garnacho; Pedro

Unavailable: Colwill (Injured), Essugo (Injured), Mudryk (Disciplinary), Delap (Injured)

Questionable:

Man Utd vs Chelsea prediction

Manchester United have shown genuine signs of more cohesive patterns of play in the final third of the pitch. The Red Devils, though, are far too easy to get at and they simply don’t have the midfield personnel to dominate a Premier League game in the system that Amorim is choosing and will stick to. Chelsea head to Old Trafford needing a performance and Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo should simply be able to easily and eventually wrestle control of the match for the Blues.

Man Utd vs Chelsea tip: Chelsea to win
