The first-leg of this UEFA Europa Conference League round of 16 tie in Czechia saw Mainz and Sigma Olomouc share a goalless draw at the Andruv Stadion.

Mainz overperformed last year but significantly underperformed in the first-half of this season, leading to the replacing of Bo Henriksen with Urs Fischer, and they have been much-improved since then.
