Magdalena Frech vs Katerina Siniakova prediction

Magdalena Frech’s highlight of the campaign so far was her run at the Merida Open, as she won four matches on the bounce to reach the final. However, she was unable to get the job done as she lost out to Cristina Bucsa. That loss has set off a sequence of disappointing results for Frech, and she is now on a four-match losing run. She last competed in Charleston, losing in round one after a straight sets defeat to Anna Bondar.

Katerina Siniakova has not participated in a singles match since her straight sets loss to Camila Osorio in the first-round of the Miami Open. She did pull off a brilliant victory at Indian Wells as she ended Mirra Andreeva’s defence of her title in the third-round. That resulted in a round-of-16 appearance at the WTA 1000 event, her best result of the season so far.

Siniakova may be a slight favourite, but clay is not her strongest surface and Frech will view this as a strong opportunity to end her losing run.
