Coco Gauff’s push for her third Grand Slam title continues against Magdalena Frech.
The French Open champion continues to have some struggles on serve but improved to defeat Donna Vekic 7-5 6-2 last time out.
The third seed, who is eyeing her second title at Flushing Meadows, now takes on Frech for the third time after the Pole hit back to sink another American, Peyton Stearns, 6-7 6-3 6-2.
The 28th seed has lost both of her previous meetings with Gauff, failing to win a set in either encounter last year.
